8.—(1) There shall be a Director for the Institute who shall be appointed by the Council upon such terms and conditions as it may determine.
(2) The Director shall —
(a)
be the chief administrative and academic officer of the Institute;
(b)
be responsible to the Council for the proper administration and management of the Institute in accordance with the policy laid down by the Council; and
(c)
prepare the annual report on the working of the Institute, the annual estimates and the annual statement of accounts to be submitted for the approval of the Council.
