Who may prosecute
19. Prosecutions in respect of offences committed under —
(a)
section 9 may be conducted by a senior officer of customs or any officer of customs specially authorised in writing in that behalf by the Director-General; and
(b)
any other provisions of this Act or any regulations made thereunder may be conducted by an officer of the authority specially or generally authorised in writing in that behalf by the Minister.

section 9 may, with the authorisation of the Public Prosecutor, be conducted by a senior officer of customs or any officer of customs specially authorised in writing in that behalf by the Director-General; and
