15.—(1) A shipowner and the master shall notify the Authority, in the prescribed manner, of the details of seafarers who are employed on a ship on the following occasions:
(a)
when the ship is registered, provisionally or otherwise, under Part II of the Merchant Shipping Act (Cap. 179);
(b)
when a seafarer’s employment agreement is entered into with any seafarer;
(c)
when any term of the seafarer’s employment agreement of a seafarer employed on the ship is altered;
(d)
when a seafarer is discharged from the ship.
(2) Any shipowner or master who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
