Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Bill

An Act to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (1992 Revised Edition).
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows:
Short title and commencement
1.  This Act may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Act 1995 and shall come into operation on such date as the President may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
Repeal and re-enactment of Article 114
2.  Article 114 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore is repealed and the following Article substituted therefor:
Pensions, etc., to be charged on Pension Fund, or Consolidated Fund
114.  Pensions, gratuities and other like allowances granted in respect of the public service shall be charged on and paid out of, in the first instance, the Pension Fund established by the Pension Fund Act 1995 and, if that Fund is deficient, the Consolidated Fund.”.
