Immigration (Amendment)
Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55(1) of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 1 October 2018.

Amendment of regulation 22A

2. Regulation 22A of the Immigration Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “permit or a pass” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “Singapore visa, pass or permit”;

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(a)	a person who has been granted a Singapore visa, or issued with a pass or permit;”; and

(c)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub‑paragraph (c) of paragraph (2) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub‑paragraph:

“(d)	a person (other than a citizen of Singapore) who transits through Singapore.”.

Amendment of regulation 33A

3. The Immigration Regulations are amended by renumbering regulation 33A as paragraph (1) of that regulation, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) Despite paragraph (1), the particulars required to be furnished under section 26(1) of the Act —

(a)	may be furnished by electronic means; and
(b)	if so furnished, must be the particulars specified in the Seventh Schedule.”.

New Seventh Schedule

4. The Immigration Regulations are amended by inserting, immediately after the Sixth Schedule, the following Schedule:

Regulation 33A(2)

Particulars of each person who is disembarking in Singapore

1. Personal information:

(a)	Full name
(b)	Sex
(c)	Date of birth
(d)	Place of residence
(e)	Place of birth
(f)	Nationality
(g)	Passport number
(h)	Date of expiry of passport
(i)	Contact number
(j)	Email address

2. Travel information:

(a)

Proposed date of arrival in Singapore

(b)

Proposed date of departure from Singapore

(c)

Mode of travel to Singapore

(i)	If mode of travel is by air, details of air transport
(ii)	If mode of travel is by land, details of land transport
(iii)	If mode of travel is by sea, details of sea transport

(d)

Type of accommodation in Singapore

(e)

Address of accommodation in Singapore

(f)

Last city/port of embarkation before Singapore

(g)

Next city/port of embarkation after Singapore

3. Additional information:

(a)	Travel history
(b)	Use of passport under different name to enter Singapore (if any)
(c)	Information on next-of-kin in Singapore (if any)”.
