Restriction of Speed (Roads) (Amendment) Notification 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Restriction of Speed (Roads) (Amendment) Notification 2006 and shall come into operation on 6th January 2006.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Restriction of Speed (Roads) (N 6) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended by deleting the item relating to “Kranji Road”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the principal Notification is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Bendemeer Road”, the following item:

“Benoi Road — that part of Benoi Road between Upper Jurong Road and Pioneer Road.”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Boundary Road”, the following item:

“Brickland Road — that part of Brickland Road from Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 to Sungei Tengah Road.”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Buangkok Green”, the following items:

“Bukit Batok Avenue 1.

Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 — that part of Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 between Hillview Avenue and Bukit Batok East Avenue 6.

Bukit Batok East Avenue 3 — that part of Bukit Batok East Avenue 3 between Toh Tuck Avenue and Bukit Batok East Avenue 6.

Bukit Batok East Avenue 6.

Bukit Batok West Avenue 2.

Bukit Panjang Road.”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Chin Swee Road”, the following items:

“Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 — that part of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 between Choa Chu Kang Drive and Brickland Road.

Choa Chu Kang Drive — that part of Choa Chu Kang Drive between Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 and Choa Chu Kang Crescent.”;

(e)

by deleting the item relating to “Choa Chu Kang Road” and substituting the following items:

(f)

by deleting the item relating to “Clementi Avenue 6” and substituting the following item:

(g)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Commonwealth Avenue”, the following items:

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Hill Street”, the following item:

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Hougang Avenue 3”, the following item:

“International Road.”;

(j)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “West Coast Ferry Road” the following item:

Amendment of Third Schedule

4. The Third Schedule to the principal Notification is amended —

by deleting the item relating to “Boon Lay Way” and substituting the following item:

by deleting the item relating to “Bukit Batok Road” and substituting the following item:

“Bukit Batok Road.”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Clementi Road”, the following item:

“Clementi Avenue 6.”;

(d)

by deleting the item relating to “Commonwealth Avenue West” and substituting the following item:

“Commomwealth Avenue West — that part of Commonwealth Avenue West —

“(a) between North Buona Vista Road and Clementi Road; and

(e)

Amendment of Fourth Schedule

5. The Fourth Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by deleting paragraphs (e) and (f) relating to “Pan Island Expressway” and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(e)	between lamp post No. 1928 and Tuas Road, in the direction towards East Coast Parkway; and
(f)	between lamp post No. 1925 and Tuas Road, in the direction towards Ayer Rajah Expressway.”.
