(Chapter 176)
Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) (Amendment) Order 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30 and 54 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2001.

Amendment of paragraph 3
2.  Paragraph 3 of the Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) Order (O 16) is amended by deleting the words “Director of Medical Services” in paragraph (c) and substituting the words “licensing authority”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
3.  Part II of the Second Schedule to the Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) Order is amended by deleting the words “Director of Medical Services” wherever they appear in the following paragraphs and substituting in each case the words “licensing authority”:
“Paragraphs 1 (3rd and 4th lines), 2 (penultimate line) and 3 (b).”.
