Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act 2004

Building Maintenance and Strata Management (Strata Titles Boards) (Amendment) Regulations 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 136 of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act 2004, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Building Maintenance and Strata Management (Strata Titles Boards) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2007.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 29
2.  Regulation 29 of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management (Strata Titles Boards) Regulations 2005 (G.N. No. S 195/2005) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
“Allowances of member of Board
29.—(1)  Every member of a Board hearing one or more disputes or matters on any day, whether as a member of one or more Boards, shall be paid an allowance specified in paragraph (2) for the day or part thereof the Board is —
(a)mediating the disputes or matters;
(b)arbitrating the disputes or matters; or
(c)engaged in any direction hearing connected with the disputes or matters.
(2)  The allowance referred to in paragraph (1) shall be as follows:
(a)  President
 
$600 for each day or part thereof;
(b)  Deputy President
 
$500 for each day or part thereof; and
(c)  Member
 
$400 for each day or part thereof.”.
