Constitution of the Republic of Singapore
Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 110D(1) and (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall, with the exception of paragraphs 3, 4(a), 4(c) and 4(d), come into operation on 1st October 2000.
(2)  Paragraphs 4(a), 4(c) and 4(d) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 2000.
(3)  Paragraph 3 shall come into operation on 1st January 2001.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2(1) of the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order (O 3) is amended by deleting sub-paragraphs (c), (g) and (h) in the definition of “General Services”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
3.  Paragraph 3 of the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (b) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(b)not less than 2 and not more than 6 members who shall be Division 1 officers.”.
Amendment of Schedule
4.  The Schedule to the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “Ministry of Community Development” in the first and second columns of item 2, the words “and Sports”;
(b)by deleting paragraph (a) in the second column of item 13;
(c)by deleting the paragraph in the second column of item 22 and substituting the following paragraph:
Public officers in any of the General Services holding posts in the Ministry of National Development.”; and
(d)by deleting item 23.
