(Striking Off)
(Amendment) Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 411 of the Companies Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Companies (Striking Off) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 30 July 2020.
Amendment of regulation 6
2.  Regulation 6(1) of the Companies (Striking Off) Regulations 2015 (G.N. No. S 834/2015) is amended by deleting the words “section 346 of the Act” in sub‑paragraph (b) and substituting the words “section 213(1) of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018 (Act 40 of 2018)”.
Saving and transitional provision
3.  Despite regulation 2, regulation 6(1)(b) of the Companies (Striking Off) Regulations 2015 as in force immediately before 30 July 2020 continues to apply to or in relation to any company the name of which is struck off the register under section 344(3) of the Act after being wound up pursuant to —
(a)an order for a winding up of a company made under section 216(2)(f) of the Act before that date;
(b)an application made before that date for the winding up of a company under section 253 of the Act;
(c)an application made before that date for the winding up of an unregistered company under section 351 of the Act;
(d)a voluntary winding up that commences within the meaning of section 291(6) of the Act before that date;
(e)a notice of commencement of liquidation or dissolution proceedings in its place of incorporation or origin that was lodged under section 377(2)(a) of the Act before that date; or
(f)an application made before that date for recognition of a foreign proceeding under Article 15(1) of the Tenth Schedule to the Act.
