Singapore Citizenship
(Amendment) Rules 2018
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 140 of, and section 4 of the Third Schedule to, the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Singapore Citizenship (Amendment) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 1 November 2018.
Amendment of Second Schedule
2.  The Second Schedule to the Singapore Citizenship Rules (R 1) is amended —
(a)by deleting the following words:
Birth Certificate No. ___________________”; and
(b)by deleting the words “NRIC No.” and substituting the word “Sex”.
Amendment of Third Schedule
3.  The Third Schedule to the Singapore Citizenship Rules is amended —
(a)by deleting the following words:
Birth Certificate No. ___________________”; and
(b)by deleting the words “NRIC No.” and substituting the word “Sex”.
