COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures)
(Control Order) (Amendment No. 5)
Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) (Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 25 April 2020.
Amendment of regulation 4
2.  Regulation 4(3) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 254/2020) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “work for or with an essential service provider,” in sub-paragraph (a) and substituting the words “work as, for or with an essential service provider to provide goods or services of an essential service, or work at”;
(b)by deleting the words “works for or with a person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (a)” in sub‑paragraphs (ca)(i) and (cb)(i) and substituting in each case the words “works as, for or with an essential service provider, or works at a specified school or an early childhood development centre”;
(c)by deleting the words “works for or with a person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (a)” in sub‑paragraphs (ca)(iii) and (cb)(iii) and substituting in each case the words “works as, for or with an essential service provider, or works at a specified school or an early childhood development centre,”; and
(d)by deleting the words “or funeral wake” in sub‑paragraph (ia) and substituting the words “, funeral wake or funeral procession”.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 13B
3.  Regulation 13B of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Requirements for funerals, etc.
13B.—(1)  The responsible person for any funeral event must take all reasonable steps to ensure that —
(a)there are not more than 10 individuals attending the funeral event at any time; and
(b)where the funeral event is held in any premises, the measures mentioned in regulations 10B(b) and (c) and 12 are implemented in relation to the premises.
(2)  In this regulation —
“funeral event” means a funeral, funeral wake or funeral procession;
“responsible person”, in relation to a funeral event, means —
(a)the funeral director or any other person who is engaged to organise the funeral event; or
(b)where a person mentioned in paragraph (a) has not been engaged for the funeral event, the owner or occupier of the premises in which the funeral event is held.”.
