(Chapter 70)
Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2003
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2003.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Customs Regulations (Rg 2) is amended by deleting the definition of “locally grown tobacco”.
Amendment of regulation 63
3.  Regulation 63 of the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting the words “distil, ferment or otherwise manufacture any intoxicating liquor or manufacture any tobacco or any other dutiable goods” and substituting the words “manufacture any dutiable goods”.
Amendment of regulation 69
4.  Regulation 69(2) of the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting the words “distil, ferment or otherwise manufacture intoxicating liquor or to manufacture tobacco or any other dutiable goods, as the case may be,” and substituting the words “manufacture the dutiable goods in respect of which the application was made”.
Amendment of regulation 70
5.  Regulation 70 of the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting the words “distilling, making or preparing of intoxicating liquors or other dutiable goods, or for the manufacture of tobacco” and substituting the words “manufacture of any dutiable goods”.
Amendment of regulation 74
6.  Regulation 74 of the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting the words “distil, ferment or otherwise manufacture intoxicating liquor or to manufacture tobacco or any other dutiable goods, as the case may be,” and substituting the words “manufacture the dutiable goods in respect of which the application was made”.
Amendment of regulation 75
7.  Regulation 75 of the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting the words “intoxicating liquors or dutiable goods or tobacco” and substituting the words “any dutiable goods”.
