Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Speed Warning Device) (Amendment) Rules 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and Commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Speed Warning Device) (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.
Amendment of rule 3
2.  Rule 3 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Speed Warning Device) Rules (R 19) is amended by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:
“(2)  These Rules shall apply to —
(a)any goods vehicle having a maximum laden weight of not more than 3.0 metric tons which is registered using a certificate of entitlement issued before 1st April 1998; or
(b)any goods vehicle having a maximum laden weight of not more than 3.5 metric tons which is registered using a certificate of entitlement issued on or after 1st April 1998.”.
