(Importers’ Licensing) (Amendment)
Regulations 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31U of the Building and Construction Authority Act, the Building and Construction Authority, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Building and Construction Authority (Importers’ Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 1 May 2016.

Amendment of regulation 13

2. Regulation 13 of the Building and Construction Authority (Importers’ Licensing) Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 122/2011) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “where available” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “if required by the Authority”.

Amendment of regulation 23

3. Regulation 23 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “EN1744 – 1:1998 Clause 7” in item 2 and substituting the words “EN1744 Clause 7”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “EN1744 – 1:1998 Clause 12” in item 3 and substituting the words “EN1744 Clause 12”.

Amendment of regulation 25

4. Regulation 25(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “essential construction material” in sub-paragraph (a), the words “(whether or not the material is supplied from the same consignment as the sample of failed construction material)”.
