Education Endowment Scheme (Good Progress Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 (1)(d) and 24 (a) of the Education Endowment Scheme Act, the Minister for Education hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education Endowment Scheme (Good Progress Awards) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2007.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Education Endowment Scheme (Good Progress Awards) Regulations (Rg 7) is amended by deleting the definition of “training institute” and substituting the following definition:

“ “training institute” means —

(a)	any training institute established under the Institute of Technical Education Act (Cap. 141A); and
(b)	any technical institute which is listed under the category “Technical Institutes” in the Schedule to the Education Endowment Scheme (Prescribed Schools) Regulations (Rg 1).”.
