(Amendment) Order 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Fees Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Fees (Refund of Unclaimed Surplus) (Amendment) Order 2018.

Deletion and substitution of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Fees (Refund of Unclaimed Surplus) Order (O 22A) is deleted and the following paragraph substituted therefor:

“Fee leviable by Registrar of Pawnbrokers

2. A fee of $5 is leviable by the Registrar of Pawnbrokers for every issue or re-issue of a cheque for any unclaimed surplus.”.

Saving provision

3. Despite paragraph 2, paragraph 2 of the Fees (Refund of Unclaimed Surplus) Order as in force immediately before 9 July 2018 continues to apply in relation to an issue or re‑issue of a cheque in respect of which the request for the issue or re‑issue (as the case may be) is made before that date.
