Central Provident Fund (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4A(4) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Central Provident Fund Board hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st May 2002.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Disciplinary Proceedings) Rules (R 4) is amended by deleting the definition of “Staff and Finance Committee” and substituting the following definition:

“ “Staff Committee” means the Staff Committee appointed by the Board to exercise the powers of the Board in relation to the dismissal, termination of service and disciplinary control of officers.”.

Miscellaneous amendments

3. The Central Provident Fund (Disciplinary Proceedings) Rules are amended by deleting the words “Staff and Finance Committee” wherever they appear in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “Staff Committee”:

Rules 3(5), 4(1) (last line), (2) (1st and penultimate lines), (5), (7)(b) and (8), 5(8), (9) and (12), 6(1) (1st line), (2) and (3), 7(2), (3) (1st line and 8th and penultimate lines), (4) (2nd and 3rd lines) and (5), 8, 10(1) (3rd and 4th lines), (2) (4th and 5th lines), (3) and (4), 11 (1st and 2nd lines, 3rd line and 4th and 5th lines), 12(1) (1st line) and (2), 13(2) and 14.
