Parking Places Act
(chapter 214)
Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Parking Places Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2005.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) Order 2000 (G.N. No. S 440/2000) is amended —
(a)by deleting “1 a.m.” in item (1)(a)(ii) and (b) in Parts I, II and III and substituting in each case “7 a.m.”;
(b)by deleting “1 a.m.” in item (1)(a) in Parts IV to XXV and substituting in each case “7 a.m.”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after Part XXV, the following Parts:
“Part XXVI
Parking Charges:
(1)  For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,500 kilograms —
(a)Mondays to Saturdays:
(i)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(b)Sundays and Public Holidays:
Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(d)$160 per month.
(2)  For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$17 per month.
(3)  For a motor-cycle or a motor-scooter occupying 2 motor‑cycle parking lots and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)$1.30 per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)$1.30 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$34 per month.
(4)  For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,500 kilograms but does not exceed 2,000 kilograms —
(a)Mondays to Saturdays:
(i)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)Sundays and Public Holidays:
Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(c)$185 per month.
Part XXVII
Parking Charges:
(1)  For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,500 kilograms —
(a)Mondays to Saturdays:
(i)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(b)Sundays and Public Holidays:
Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(d)$140 per month.
(2)  For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$15 per month.
(3)  For a motor-cycle or a motor-scooter occupying 2 motor-cycle parking lots and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)$1.30 per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)$1.30 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$30 per month.
(4)  For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,500 kilograms —
(a)Mondays to Saturdays:
(i)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)Sundays and Public Holidays:
Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(c)$185 per month.
Part XXVIII
Parking Charges:
(1)  For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,500 kilograms —
(a)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(b)$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$125 per month.
(2)  For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$15 per month.
(3)  For a motor-cycle or a motor-scooter occupying 2 motor-cycle parking lots and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
(a)$1.30 per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)$1.30 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)$30 per month.
(4)  For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,500 kilograms —
(a)pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
