Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Administration of Muslim Law Act, the President of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2002.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. Part I of the Third Schedule to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$49” in item 6 and substituting “$66”;
(b)	by deleting “$22” in item 8 (a) and substituting “$27”;
(c)	by deleting “$12” in item 10 and substituting “$13”;
(d)	by deleting “$14” in item 11 and substituting “$16”;
(e)	by deleting “$14” in item 12 and substituting “$16”;
(f)	by deleting “$14” in item 13 and substituting “$16”;
(g)	by deleting “$20” in item 14 and substituting “$22”;
(h)	by deleting “$14”in item 15 and substituting “$16”;
(i)	by deleting “$80” in item 16 and substituting “$100”;
(j)	by deleting “$19” in item 17 and substituting “$22”;
(k)	by deleting “$14” in item 18 and substituting “$16”;
(l)	by deleting “$26” in item 19 and substituting “$29”;
(m)	by deleting “$30” in item 20 and substituting “$34”;
(n)	by deleting “$115” in item 21 and substituting “$140”;
(o)	by deleting “$30” in item 22 and substituting “$34”;
(p)	by deleting “$30” in item 23 and substituting “$34”;
(q)	by deleting “$53” in item 24 and substituting “$64”;
(r)	by deleting “$43” in item 25 and substituting “$50”;
(s)	by deleting “$165” in item 26 and substituting “$204”; and
