Central Provident Fund (Medishield Scheme) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 57 of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2002.
Amendment of regulation 10
2.  Regulation 10 of the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) Regulations (Rg 20) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “the Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital or St. Luke’s Hospital for the Elderly Ltd” in the 5th and 6th and in the 8th and 9th lines of paragraph (4) and substituting in each case the words “Ang Mo Kio Hospital Limited, St. Luke’s Hospital for the Elderly Ltd or Bright Vision Hospital”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (4), the following paragraph:
(4A)  For the purposes of this regulation and regulation 15, an insured person’s entitlement to claim from the Board for any further medical treatment received as an in-patient of Ang Mo Kio Hospital Limited shall extend to such treatment received on or after 1st April 2002.”.
Amendment of regulation 15
2.  Regulation 15(5) of the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) Regulations is amended by deleting the words “the Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital or St. Luke’s Hospital for the Elderly Ltd” in the 5th and 6th and in the 8th and 9th lines and substituting in each case the words “Ang Mo Kio Hospital Limited, St. Luke’s Hospital for the Elderly Ltd or Bright Vision Hospital”.
