Central Provident Fund (Contributions to Community Fund [SINDA]) (Amendment)Rules 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(3) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Central Provident Fund Board, with the approval of the Minister for Labour, hereby makes the following Rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Contributions to Community Fund [SINDA]) (Amendment) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st August 1996.

2. The Schedule to the Central Provident Fund (Contributions to Community Fund [SINDA]) Rules is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THE SCHEDULE

Total amount of an employee’s wages for the calendar month

Contributions payable by an employee for the calendar month

(1) Not exceeding $600

$1.

(2) Exceeding $600 but not exceeding $1,500

$3.

(3) Exceeding $1,500 but not exceeding $2,500

$5.

(4) Exceeding $2,500

$7.”.
