Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2008.
Amendment of rule 26
2.  Rule 26 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8) is amended —
(a)by deleting sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph (1) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
“(a)on a road specified in Part I of the Second Schedule (except at a taxi stop or taxi stand, or in a driveway of a building, along the road) from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (both times inclusive) of any day other than a Sunday or public holiday; and”; and
(b)by deleting the marginal note and inserting the following rule heading:
“Stopping of taxis on roads, and taxi stops”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
3.  The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules is amended by deleting Parts I and II and substituting the following Part:
