Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications and Information Technology hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 2nd December 1999.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. The Third Schedule to the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5, 1999 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the index series

“E EA EB EC, etc. SBA SBB SBC SBD, etc. SCA SCE SCF SCG, etc.”

in the first column and substituting the following index series:

“E EA EB EC, etc. SBA SBB SBC SBD, etc. SCA SCE SCF SCG, etc. SDA SDB SDD SDE SDF SDG SDH SDJ SDK SDL SDM SDN SDP, etc.”; and

(b)

by deleting the index series

“Q QA QB QC, etc. QEA QEB QEC QED, etc. QBA QBB QBC QBD, etc. QCA QCE QCF QCG, etc.”

in the first column and substituting the following index series:

“Q QA QB QC, etc. QEA QEB QEC QED, etc. QBA QBB QBC QBD, etc. QCA QCE QCF QCG, etc. QDA QDB QDD QDE QDF QDG QDH QDJ QDK QDL QDM QDN QDP, etc.”.
