Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 23rd April 1999.

Amendment of regulation 7A

2. Regulation 7A of the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations (Rg 3) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “Director of Prisons” in the 1st line of paragraph (1), the words “or the person appointed under section 39 (1) (b) of the Act”.
