Biological Agents and Toxins Act
(Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Biological Agents and Toxins Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Biological Agents and Toxins Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 30 January 2020.

Amendment of Part II of First Schedule

2. Part II of the First Schedule to the Biological Agents and Toxins Act is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (b) of item 3 under the heading “VIRUSES”, the following paragraph:

“(c)	2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)”.
