Central Provident Fund
(Amendment) Regulations 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act, Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Senior Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Regulations 2013 and shall come into operation on 8th April 2013.

Amendment of regulation 9

2. Regulation 9 of the Central Provident Fund Regulations (Rg 15) is amended by deleting paragraph (3) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(3) Where the address of a member referred to in paragraph (1) is unknown, the Board may publish a notice requiring the member to satisfy the Board that he is alive (by responding to the Board in such form and manner, and within such period, as the Board may specify in the published notice) —

(a)	in an English local daily newspaper and, at the option of the Board, one other local daily newspaper in another language of the Board’s choice; or
(b)	on the Board’s Internet website at http://www.cpf.gov.sg.”.
