Public Entertainments and Meetings Act
(Chapter 257)
Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) (Amendment) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) (Amendment) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 9th October 2009.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) Order (O 1) is amended by deleting the definition of “indoor public talk”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
3.  Paragraph 3 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) Order is amended —
(a)by deleting sub-paragraph (9A) (including the sub-heading “Indoor public talk”);
(b)by deleting the words “, workshop or lecture” in sub-paragraph (10)(i) and substituting the words “(without any lecture, talk, address, debate or discussion)”; and
(c)by deleting sub-paragraph (r) of sub-paragraph (10).
