(Expressway Traffic) (Amendment No. 2)
Rules 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2013 and shall come into operation on 29th December 2013.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 1 of Part II and substituting the following item:

“1. That length of the expressway known as the Ayer Rajah Expressway which extends from its interchange with Marina Coastal Expressway at Telok Ayer Flyover in a general north westward direction to Tuas Checkpoint Viaduct, at a distance of approximately 27,000 metres.”;

(b)

by deleting item 3 of Part II and substituting the following item:

“3. That length of the expressway known as the East Coast Parkway which extends from the western end of Airport Boulevard in a general westerly direction to Sheares Avenue, at a distance of approximately 16,000 metres.”;

(c)

by deleting item 9 of Part II and substituting the following items:

“9. That length of the expressway known as the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway which extends from the east end of the Marina Coastal Expressway Tunnel in a general north eastward direction to its interchange with Tampines Expressway at Tampines Flyover, including the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway Tunnel, at a distance of approximately 12,000 metres.

10. That length of the expressway known as the Marina Coastal Expressway which extends from its interchange with Ayer Rajah Expressway at Telok Ayer Flyover in a general north eastward direction to the south end of the Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway Tunnel, including the Marina Coastal Expressway Tunnel, at a distance of approximately 5,300 metres.”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after item 3 of Part III, the following item:

“4. That length of the Marina Coastal Expressway which goes into a tunnel known as the Marina Coastal Expressway Tunnel.”.
