Public Order
(Amendment) Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 47 of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Public Order (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 26 June 2020.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Public Order Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 487/2009) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Non-application to election meetings and processions
2.  These Regulations do not apply to any public assembly or public procession to which either of the following Regulations apply:
(a)the Public Order (Election Meetings and Processions in Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 486/2009);
(b)the Public Order (Election Meetings and Processions in Presidential Elections) Regulations 2017 (G.N. No. S 273/2017).”.
Amendment of regulations 4 and 11
3.  Regulations 4(1)(b) and 11(1)(a) of the Public Order Regulations 2009 are amended by deleting “https://licence1.business.gov.sg” and substituting in each case “http://www.police.gov.sg/e‑services”.
