Private Education (Amendment)
Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Private Education Act, the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Education, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Private Education (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 July 2019.

Amendment of regulation 5

2. Regulation 5 of the Private Education Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 617/2009) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)	by deleting sub‑paragraph (a) of paragraph (3); and
(b)	by deleting sub‑paragraph (b) of paragraph (5).

Amendment of regulation 6

3. Regulation 6 of principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting sub‑paragraph (a) of paragraph (4); and
(b)	by deleting sub‑paragraph (b) of paragraph (6).

Amendment of regulation 7

4. Regulation 7(3) of principal Regulations is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (a).

Amendment of regulation 10

5. Regulation 10(3) of principal Regulations is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (b).

Amendment of First Schedule

6. The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the Schedule reference and substituting the following Schedule reference:

“Regulations 3(3)(a), 9(3)(a) and 11”; and

(b)

by deleting items 3 to 7 and 9.
