Central Provident Fund Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(8) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Central Provident Fund Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2002.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Central Provident Fund Act is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph 1 and substituting the following paragraph:
1.  Subject to paragraphs 2 to 7, with effect from 1st October 2002, the contributions payable by the employer and the amount recoverable from the employee’s wages are as follows:

(b)by deleting paragraph 6 and substituting the following paragraph:
6.  The rates of contribution specified in paragraph 1 shall not apply to the employees of the following:
(1)The managers of any aided school.
(2)Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*Star).
(3)Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore.
(4)Board of Architects.
(5)Building and Construction Authority.
(6)Central Provident Fund Board.
(7)Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
(8)Civil Service College.
(9)Commercial and Industrial Security Corporation.
(10)Contact Lens Practitioners Board.
(11)Defence Science and Technology Agency.
(12)Economic Development Board.
(13)Energy Market Authority of Singapore.
(14)Health Promotion Board.
(15)Health Sciences Authority.
(16)Hindu Advisory Board.
(17)Hindu Endowments Board.
(18)Hotels Licensing Board.

(c)employees of a statutory body or persons employed in an aided school by the manager of the school at the rates prescribed in the Central Provident Fund (Statutory Bodies and Aided Schools — Employees) Regulations 2002 (G.N. No. S 520/2002); and
(d)employees who are permanent residents and who do not fall under sub-paragraph (a), (b) or (c), at the rates prescribed in the Central Provident Fund (Permanent Residents — Employees) Regulations 2002 (G.N. No. S 521/2002).”.
