(Chapter 3)
Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment) Rules 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Administration of Muslim Law Act, the President of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st December 2001.
Amendment of Third Schedule
2.  Part I of the Third Schedule to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules (R 1) is amended —
(a)by deleting “$80” in item 3 and substituting “$128”;
(b)by deleting “$19” in item 5 and substituting “$40”;
(c)by deleting “$29” in item 7 and substituting “$180”;
(d)by deleting the words “(per page)” in item 7;
(e)by deleting “$25” in item 8 (b)(i) and substituting “$35”;
(f)by deleting “$30” in item 8 (b)(ii) and substituting “$50”;
(g)by deleting item 9 and substituting the following item:
9. Certified copy of grounds of refusal to register a marriage, divorce or revocation of divorce issued by —
 
 
(a) the Syariah Court

(b) the Registry of Muslim Marriages
 
$100
”;
(h)by deleting “$14” in item 28 and substituting “$40”; and
(i)by inserting, immediately after item 28, the following item:
29. Registration of polygamous marriage

”.
