(Amendment) Rules 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56T of the Bankruptcy Act, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Bankruptcy (Debt Repayment Scheme) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 1 February 2018.

Amendment of rule 32

2. Rule 32 of the Bankruptcy (Debt Repayment Scheme) Rules (R 6) is amended by deleting paragraph (3).

Saving provision

3. Despite rule 2, rule 32(3) of the Bankruptcy (Debt Repayment Scheme) Rules as in force immediately before 1 February 2018 continues to apply in relation to any request made before that date, by a creditor to whom a dividend is payable, for the transmission of the dividend to that creditor by post.
