Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) (Amendment) Order 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Parking Places Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) (Amendment) Order 2010 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2010.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Order (O 2) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after Part XI, the following Part:

“Part XII

Parking Charges:

(1) For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,800 kilograms —

(a)

Mondays to Saturdays:

(i)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(b)

Sundays and Public Holidays:

Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(c)

$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(d)

$160 per month at designated covered lots.

(e)

$140 per month at designated surface lots.

(2) For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —

(a)	65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$17 per month at designated covered lots.
(d)	$15 per month at designated surface lots.

(3) For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,800 kilograms —

(a)

Mondays to Saturdays:

(i)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
(ii)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(b)

Sundays and Public Holidays:

Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(c)

$4 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).

(d)

$185 per month.”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after Part XIV, the following Part:

“Part XV

Parking Charges:

(1) For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,800 kilograms —

(a)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(b)	$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$110 per month at designated covered lots.
(d)	$80 per month at designated surface lots.

(2) For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —

(a)	65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$17 per month at designated covered lots.
(d)	$15 per month at designated surface lots.

(3) For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,800 kilograms —

(a)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(b)	$4 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$185 per month.”.
