Road Traffic (Road Pricing) (Amendment)
Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Road Pricing) (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 5th May 1997.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Road Pricing) Rules (R 35) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting “8.30 a.m.” in the definition of “restricted hours” and substituting “9.30 a.m.”.

Amendment of rule 5

3. Rule 5 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting paragraphs (a) and (b) and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(a)	in respect of a motorcycle, 70 cents per day or $14 per month; and
(b)	in respect of any other vehicle, $2 per day or $40 per month.”.

Amendment of First Schedule

4. The First Schedule to the principal Rules is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph 2, the following paragraphs:

“3. Between Lamp Post 315 and Lamp Post 317 on the Central Expressway on the southbound carriageway.

4. Between Lamp Post 593S1 and Lamp Post 595 on the Pan-Island Expressway on the westbound carriageway.

5. Between Lamp Post 79 and Lamp Post 81 on the slip road from Kallang Bahru into the Pan-Island Expressway.”.
