(Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use)
(Amendment) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) (Amendment) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 1 July 2019.

Amendment of rule 77

2. Rule 77(1) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) Rules (R 9) is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (a);

(b)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub‑paragraph (c); and

(c)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (d) and substituting the following sub‑paragraphs:

“(d)	on or after 15 February 2006 but before 1 July 2019 as an omnibus shall be at least 1,200 millimetres and shall be fitted with a centre stanchion bar in such manner as the Registrar may specify; and
(e)	on or after 1 July 2019 as an omnibus shall be at least 1,200 millimetres.”.
