Environmental Pollution Control Act
(Chapter 94A)
Environmental Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Environmental Pollution Control Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 16th February 2005.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Environmental Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) Regulations (Rg 4) is amended by deleting the following substances and their entries relating thereto:
(a)Acrolein;
(b)Carbon disulphide;
(c)Disilane;
(d)Propylene imine;
(e)Propylene oxide;
(f)Silane;
(g)Styrene monomer;
(h)Vinyl bromide; and
(i)Vinyl chloride monomer.”.
Miscellaneous amendments
3.  The Environmental Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) Regulations are amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Director” wherever it appears in the following provisions and substituting in each case the word “Director-General”:
Regulations 2 (1) (definition of “emergency action plan”), 4(1)(a) and (b), 6(2)(b) and (3)(b), 9, 10(1) and (3), 13, 15, 17(3), 18(a), 19(a) and (c), 21(3), 22(2) and (4) and 23(1)(c) and (3); and
(b)by deleting the words “Ministry of the Environment” in regulation 17(4) and substituting the words “National Environment Agency”.
