(Chapter 70)
Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2001.
Amendment of regulation 146
2.  Regulation 146 of the Customs Regulations (Rg 2) is amended by inserting, immediately after the figure “87,” in the penultimate line, the figure “90E (3),”.
Miscellaneous amendments
3.  The Customs Regulations are amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “customs duty” wherever they appear in the following regulations, the words “or excise duty”:
Regulations 8A (2), 8A(3) (penultimate line), 12(5)(c), 12(7), 12(9)(a), 13(2) (penultimate line), 13A(2)(d), 32(1), 34(3)(d), 54(a) (1st and 2nd lines) and 56(3) (penultimate line);
(b)by inserting, immediately after the words “customs duties” in the 2nd line of regulation 55(1), the words “or excise duties”; and
(c)by deleting the words “Customs Duties” wherever they appear in the following regulations and substituting in each case the words “Customs (Duties)”:
Regulations 10(1)(a) (4th and 5th lines), 48(3), 48(4) (3rd line) and 146 (3rd line).
