Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act
(Amendment of Schedule) (No. 3)
Notification 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 3) Notification 2014 and shall come into operation on 14 September 2014.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, under the heading “CLASS ELASMOBRANCHII (SHARKS)” in Part I, are amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-heading A and item 1 in taxon I and substituting the following sub-headings and items:

“

Carcharhinidae (Requiem sharks)

Carcharhinus longimanus

Sphyrnidae (Hammerhead sharks)

Sphyrna lewini

Sphyrna mokarran

Sphyrna zygaena

”;

(b)

by deleting item 2 under sub-heading B in taxon II and substituting the following item:

“

Lamna nasus

”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after taxon IV, the following taxon, sub-heading and item:

“

RAJIFORMES

Mobulidae (Mobulid rays)

Manta spp.

”.
