Central Provident Fund Act
(Chapter 36)
Central Provident Fund (Dependants’ Protection Insurance Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 51 of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Dependants’ Protection Insurance Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2008.
Amendment of regulation 7
2.  Regulation 7(8) of the Central Provident Fund (Dependants’ Protection Insurance Scheme) Regulations (Rg 19) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “section 6 (4) of the Act”, the words “for the amount standing to the credit of a member of the Fund in his ordinary account”.
Amendment of regulation 8
3.  Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “the interest which would have accrued thereto” and substituting the words “the whole or such part, as the Board may determine, of the interest that would have been payable thereon”.
Amendment of regulation 10
4.  Regulation 10 (7) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “the interest that would have accrued thereto” in the penultimate line and substituting the words “the whole or such part, as the Board may determine, of the interest that would have been payable thereon”.
