Medical Registration Act
(Amendment of First and Second Schedules)
Order 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Medical Registration Act, the Minister for Health, after consultation with the Singapore Medical Council, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Medical Registration Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Order 2014 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 2nd June 2014.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Medical Registration Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item 5, the following item:
6.Degree in medicine and surgery of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University — Imperial College London.”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
3.  The Second Schedule to the Medical Registration Act is amended —
(a)by deleting “MB BS” in items 2, 8 and 10 in the third column relating to the country “Australia” and substituting in each case “MB BS, MD”;
(b)by deleting the words “MB BS, Doctor of Medicine” in item 3 in the third column relating to the country “Australia” and substituting “MB BS, MD”;
(c)by deleting “MB BS” in item 6 in the third column relating to the country “Australia” and substituting “MB BS, BMed MD”;
(d)by deleting the words “All‑India Institute of Medical Sciences” in item 1 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “All‑India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi”;
(e)by deleting the words “Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences” in item 3 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune”;
(f)by deleting item 5 relating to the country “India”;
(g)by renumbering item 5A relating to the country “India” as item 5;
(h)by deleting the words “Lady Hardinge Medical College (New Delhi), University of Delhi” in item 6 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi”;
(i)by deleting the words “Grant Medical College (Mumbai), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences” in item 7 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “Grant Medical College, Mumbai”;
(j)by deleting the words “St. John’s Medical College (Bangalore), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences” in item 8 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore”;
(k)by deleting the words “Madras Medical College (Chennai), Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University” in item 9 in the second column relating to the country “India” and substituting the words “Madras Medical College, Chennai”; and
(l)by deleting the words “Bachelor of Medicine” in item 2 in the third column relating to the country “Taiwan” and substituting the words “Doctor of Medicine”.
