Misuse of Drugs Act
(Chapter 185)
Misuse of Drugs (Urine Specimens and Urine Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Urine Specimens and Urine Tests) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2001.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Misuse of Drugs (Urine Specimens and Urine Tests) Regulations (Rg 6) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Definitions
2.  In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —
“Chief Executive of the Health Sciences Authority” means the Chief Executive of the Health Sciences Authority appointed under section 15 of the Health Sciences Authority Act 2001;
“enforcement officer” means an officer of the Central Narcotics Bureau, an immigration officer, a police officer not below the rank of sergeant or a supervision officer appointed under regulation 15(1) of the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations (Rg 3).”.
Amendment of regulation 3
3.  Regulation 3 (2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Director of Scientific Services” and substituting the words “Chief Executive of the Health Sciences Authority”.
Amendment of regulation 5
4.  Regulation 5 (2) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Director of Scientific Services” and substituting the words “Chief Executive of the Health Sciences Authority”.
Amendment of First Schedule
5.  The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Department of Scientific Services” in paragraph 14 and substituting the words “Health Sciences Authority”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
6.  The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Department of Scientific Services” in paragraphs 1 and 2 and substituting in each case the words “Health Sciences Authority”.
