Poisons Act

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(1) of the Poisons Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Poisons (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st March 1999.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Poisons (Hazardous Substances) Rules (R 2) is amended by deleting the following item:

“Sulphur in diesel oil in which the sulphur content is more than 0.3% by weight of the diesel oil”,

and substituting the following item:

“Sulphur in diesel oil in which the sulphur content is more than 0.05% by weight of the diesel oil”.
