Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Rules 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(2) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Central Provident Fund Board makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Central Provident Fund (Amendment) Rules 2016 and come into operation on 1 January 2017.

Amendment of rule 18

2. Rule 18(1) of the Central Provident Fund Rules (R 3) is amended by deleting the words “Minimum Sum” wherever they appear and substituting in each case the words “Retirement Sum”.
