Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings)
(Revocation) Rules 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 139(1) and (2) of the Women’s Charter, we, the committee constituted under section 139(1) of the Women’s Charter, hereby make the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) (Revocation) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.
Revocation
2.  The Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules (R 4, 2006 Ed.) are revoked.
Savings and transitional provisions
3.—(1)  Despite rule 2, the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules (R 4, 2006 Ed.) shall continue to apply to all proceedings under Parts VIII and X of the Act commenced on or after 1 April 2006 but before 1 October 2014 in the High Court, and which are pending on 1 October 2014 in that Court (other than its Family Division), as if those Rules had not been revoked.
(2)  Despite rule 2, the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules (R 4, 2006 Ed.) shall continue to apply to all applications commenced before 31 December 2014 in the High Court (other than its Family Division) to vary an order made in proceedings for ancillary relief under Part X of the Act commenced before 1 October 2014 in that Court, and which are pending on 31 December 2014 in that Court (other than its Family Division), as if those Rules had not been revoked.
(3)  Despite the revocation of the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings) Rules (R 4, 2004 Ed.) and the Women’s Charter (Matrimonial Proceedings — Fees) Rules (R 5, 2004 Ed.), those Rules shall continue to apply to proceedings under Part X of the Act commenced before 1 April 2006 in the High Court, and which on that date are pending in that Court (other than its Family Division), as if those Rules had not been revoked.
