Customs (Duties) (Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs (Duties) (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into operation on 21st June 2002.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Item 43 in Part I of the Schedule to the Customs (Duties) (Exemption) Order (O 5) is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately after the words “Imported Leaf Tobacco” in column (3), the words “, Semi-manufactured Tobacco, Cut Rag Tobacco and Reconstituted Tobacco.”;
(b)	by deleting the words “leaf tobacco” in paragraphs (a) and (b) and in the 4th and 5th lines of paragraph (d) in column (4) and substituting in each case the word “tobacco”; and
(c)	by deleting the words “leaf tabacco” in paragraph (c) in column (4) and substituting the word “tobacco”. [G.N. Nos. S 197/97; S 354/98; S 31/99; S 389/2000; S 621/2000]
