Environmental Protection and Management Act
(Chapter 94A)
Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) of the Environmental Protection and Management Act, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2009.
Amendment of Second Schedule
2.  Part I of the Second Schedule to the Environmental Protection and Management Act is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately below the item “Acetic acid”, the following item:
Acetic Anhydride
 
(b)by deleting the item “Tetrachlordiphenylethane [TDE; 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis (p-chlorophenyl) ethane]” under the substance “Chlorinated hydrocarbons, the following:” and substituting the following item:
Tetrachlorodiphenylethane [TDE; 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis (p-chlorophenyl) ethane]”;
(c) by deleting the item “Fipronil” and substituting the following item:
Fipronil
 
Formulated products containing Fipronil approved for household use and belonging to Table 5 of the WHO Recommended Classification of Pesticides by Hazard.
(d)by inserting, immediately above the item “Mercury and its compounds in batteries”, the following item:
Mercury in Clinical Thermometers
 
 
(e)by deleting the item “Neonicotinoid compounds used as pesticides, the following: Imidacloprid” and substituting the following item:
Neonicotinoid compounds used as pesticides, the following:
 
Formulated products containing Imidacloprid approved for household use and belonging to Table 5 of the WHO Recommended Classification of Pesticides by Hazard.

(f)by inserting, immediately above the item “Methamidophos” under the substance “Phosphorus compounds used as pesticides (insecticides, acaricides, etc.), which includes but is not limited to:”, the following item:
Chlorpyriphos”; and
(g)by deleting the item “Pyrethroid compounds used as pesticides, the following: Fenvalerate” and substituting the following item:
Pyrethroid compounds used as pesticides, the following:
 
Formulated products containing Fenvalerate approved for household use and belonging to Table 5 of the WHO Recommended Classification of Pesticides by Hazard.
