Films (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Films Act, the Minister for Information and the Arts hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Films (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into operation on 23rd January 1998.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. The Films (Licensing) Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by renumbering regulation 3 as paragraph (1) of that regulation, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), a licence under section 7 of the Act for distributing films may be granted for a period of one month or part thereof and the fee payable therefor shall be $125.”.

Amendment of regulation 4

3. Regulation 4(2) of the Films (Licensing) Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “thereof”, the words “or $125 for a month or part thereof”.
