Food (Amendment No. 2)
Regulations 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38(1) of the Sale of Food Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Food (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2002.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Food Regulations (Rg 1) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Fees

3. The fees to be paid in respect of any analysis under the Act and any licence issued under these Regulations shall be as specified in the Sale of Food (Fees) Regulations 2002 (G.N. No. S 309/2002).”.

Deletion of First Schedule

3. The First Schedule to the Food Regulations is deleted.

Miscellaneous amendments

4. The Food Regulations are amended by deleting the word “Director” wherever it appears in the following provisions and substituting in each case the word “Director-General”:

Regulations 8A(1) (5th line), 9(7)(b) (last line) and (8)(b) (last line), 10(1) (last line), (5) (last line) and (9) (7th line), 14(1) and (2) (5th line), 18(2) (last line) and (2A), 38(1) (4th and 5th lines), 183A(2) (penultimate line), 201(3)(a) (3rd line), 204(5)(a) (3rd line), 248(1) (5th line), 249(3) (last line) and 250(2) (4th line).
